Beef and Red Wine Casserole

This is my favourite SW meal at the moment, this is my version of the recipe and its absolutely delicious!

800g lean stewing steak
1 large onion finely chopped
4 large carrots peeled and sliced
1 250g back of sliced mushrooms
Carton of passata
100mls red wine
1 Rich beef stock pot
1 teaspoon of garlic
1 teapoon of mixed herbs
Black pepper

Put all of the above into a slow cooker, mix well and cook on low for 8 hours.

If I was having this on an EE day I would probably have some new potatoes or mash. On a red day I have it on its own and actually is extremely filling.
